Or buy a golden ticket for $50. The winning golden ticket will be drawn at the beginning of the auction and will entitle the winner to any lot in the live auction (except for the Silcox Hut and Italy vacations). When you buy your golden ticket, you’ll have a chance to indicate which item you’d like if you win. Only 50 Golden Tickets will be sold.

AUCTION ITEMS:

G is for Go Fish on a Guided Fly Fishing Trip for 2 with expert Chester Allen. Chester is a lifelong fly angler, journalist and author. He was the outdoor columnist for the The Olympian newspaper, Olympia, WA for many years and is the author of Yellowstone Runners and Fly-Fishing for Sea-Run Cutthroat. Auction winner has their choice of trips on the Deschutes River or Crooked River depending on skill level and interest. Snacks, flies, cool drinks and lunch are provided. Includes signed copies of Chester’s books.

E is for En Plein Air – Art Class for 6 with Painter Cathleen Rehfeld. Enjoy a painterly afternoon at the spectacular Sakura Ridge Farm and Lodge as Cathleen Rehfeld shows you her techniques and explains the joys and challenges of plein air painting. The painting she creates will go home with the winning bidder. Guests will enjoy lunch and vino courtesy of Judie Hanel and Cindy Walbridge as they watch Cathleen create her masterpiece and enjoy the view.

P is for Plentiful – as well as pure – 10 box farmers box CSA subscription from Hood River Organic. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is buying directly from your local farmer, investing in the harvest and supporting local agriculture. You’ll get a box filled with farm fresh produce and other goodies, all organic and all from sustainable farms in Hood River or nearby. This is fully customizable, you can schedule weekly or monthly boxes and even put on hold to go on vacation.

T is for Totally Gorgeous ceramics by Hood River’s own Trudi Klinger of Mystic Mud Studios. This large bowl features Trudie’s signature pear design – it’s usable art that celebrates our valley and orchards

S is for Slumber Party Silcox Hut!!
A one of a kind slumber party at Timberline’s Silcox Hut for up to 24 people. Above the main lodge at Timberline, Silcox Hut is perfect for a private overnight hideaway. Originally built in 1939 as a warming hut and the upper terminus of the Magic Mile ski lift, Silcox Hut today is a rustic and welcoming alpine lodge on thesouth side of Mount Hood.

Perched at 7,000 feet, it sits at the base of Hood’s best late-season runs on the Palmer Snowfield. Its great room boasts hand-carved tables and chairs, wrought iron accents and a roaring stone fireplace. Silcox guests enjoy the hospitality of a host who is with you for the entire stay. R is for River Rafting Adventure for Two. The folks at Wet Planet will guide you and a guest on a half day adventure on the White Salmon River. Perfect for beginners and advanced rafters, the river’s class III-IV whitewater rapids challenge even the most experienced veteran raft guests. The undeveloped shoreline and inaccessible deep forests invite wildlife to visit the refreshing river, a sight only experienced by rafters and kayakers.

P is for the Play’s the Thing. . . Drama
and a Hotel for two in Southern Oregon! This package includes a one night for two in the lovely Ashland Hills Hotel just minutes from downtown Ashland and a voucher for two tickets to an Oregon Shakespeare Festival play of your choice.

F is for Field Trip, Fun and Food – You’ll get the inside track on climate issues close to home. Three experts will guide you along a private stretch of the Hood River’s East Fork to explore local geology, watershed, and wildlife/fisheries resources in the upper valley followed by a gourmet, three course BBQ dinner in an outdoor setting in the beautiful upper Hood River Valley environs. This opportunity is available to 12-16 people and will take place on a weekend in the months of June-August of summer 2020.

W is for Watercolor. Local artist Bill Sturman captures dogwoods in bloom in this framed watercolor. Bill paints primarily wet-in-wet, as he loves the look of transparent watercolor. He finds beauty in everything from cloud formations to landscapes to forest mist, foliage, fruits, flowers, birds, and butterflies.
